We are bike lovers
Just like you
With the launch of a new website, I thought it was time to update the “about us” page, but fundamentally why we started and why we still exist are the same. We opened the doors in 2006 and essentially hoped for the best, we’d done the research and believed we had what it took to succeed, 14 years on we’re still here. We’ve had our challenges, GFC, Earthquakes (which involved a shift and new location), but as with anything that is hard, we learnt and grew and tried to become better. Through all of this we always kept coming back to our “why”, so I’ve left in below what was originally written for our first website. It is as true now as it was then.
Without the support from our community and customers we simply wouldn’t exist. The reason why we exist is the humbling support and custom we receive. Every single day we strive hard to do the best for our customers both new and old. The satisfaction of helping people and enabling them is what drives us.
Our aim is to own a bike shop that is renowned for service, expert advice, honesty, world class brands and product, quality repairs and after sales care. Everything that we sell at Cycleways we believe in, it’s as simple as that. Because we hand pick and test our brands and products it enables us to back up our bikes and product and offer genuine after sales service. If there’s a problem we’ll fix it.
Our approach is to be proactive not reactive to the changing nature of the cycle industry. We want to offer the most efficient and up to date products available, whilst providing the customer with information enabling them to make informed decisions about bikes and product, of which they will have no regrets.
We’ve built an amazing crew, who have both experience and passion for our industry and our customers, the bend over backwards rule and a can do attitude is completely ingrained in our DNA and culture.
These sentiments remain today and will for the future. We love being part of our community and we’re actively involved in supporting events and riders. It’s been a great journey, with much more ahead. Our industry continues to evolve and we will embrace all that is ahead of us, whilst continuing to stick to our core value of community and service above all else.
