Refund policy

Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

We're here to help! If the item you purchased is faulty or isn't right, we can accept returns or exchanges (see exceptions and Change of Mind policy below) up to 30 days from the purchase date. Please contact us ASAP as we do not accept returns or exchanges without prior return authorisation.

  • Must have original tags still attached
  • Must be in original packaging
  • No signs of wear or use (clipless shoes can't have had cleats installed)

If you want to return the item for any other reason, we can refund the purchased price of the item excluding shipping costs. Items have to be shipped back to us in 10 working days at the customers cost. We recommend all returns are sent via a traceable carrier with a tracking number. Cycleways is not responsible for packages sent with a return label not provided by us, or without the original packing slip.

Refunds will be issued in the original payment type. For purchases made via credit card, please allow up to 10 days for the transaction to process. The card issuer controls the timing of returned funds. Please contact your card issuer for details.

Exceptions to Returns and Exchanges

Some items can not be returned or exchanged.

  • Bicycles and frames
  • Gift Vouchers
  • Sale items that are discontinued
  • Nutrition items or anything that poses a health risk

Change of Mind Returns and Exchanges

We want you to be happy with your purchase. While we are not legally obligated to offer returns or exchanges in cases where you simply changed your mind, we'd like to help where we can. For purchases where you simply changed your mind, there will be a $25 return fee for restocking the following items.

  • Shoes
  • Helmets

Faulty Items

If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumers Guarantee Act. If you would like to return a faulty item, please contact us at web@cycleways.co.nz within 24 hours of receiving the item, including a photo if the fault is visible.

You will need to return the item to us for inspection (at your own cost) and we will organise a replacement or credit for you as per our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act. All items must be returned unused and in their original packaging, and you will need to provide proof of purchase.

Unable to Supply

If we are unable to supply your order, we contact you about alternatives or will refund you in full.
